When You Think About Tomorrow: A Poem

When you think about tomorrow,
Does it bring a tear to your eye?
Do you feel a sense of hopelessness?
Is there an emptiness inside: It's hard to find an answer to what you're looking for.
When what you want is out of reach, not just behind a door.
Well you're not alone in this one,
There are others just like you,
Who are searching for a ray of light to make a dream come true.
The support you get from someone, who shares the way you feel,
Is the first step in recognizing that what you're going through is real.
Take a good look at who you are.
Remember that you're a gift.
A precious soul sent from above.
You have a lot of love to give.
So, if you think about tomorrow,
Try not to shed a tear.
With others, have faith and hope that the fulfillment of life is near.
