Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) Study
Protocol H-10662 - Genetic Basis of Female Infertility and Premature Ovarian Failure

Baylor College of Medicine

Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is conducting a Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) Study (IRB# H-10662). POF is far more common than most individuals realize, as approximately 1 in 100 women will experience ovarian failure prior to age 40. The cause of most cases of POF however, remains unknown. This study is designed to identify genes that may be responsible for causing premature ovarian failure.

Baylor College of Medicine is now recruiting patients for this study. If you Would like to be involved in this study, please send an email to the address Below and you will be sent the necessary information. All that is required is a blood sample that can be sent to our center and a data form questionnaire that can also be completed in your home. Baylor will cover expenses related to blood draw and all the genetic analysis will remain confidential.

Please contact us by email at volunteer@bcm.edu or by phone at 713.798.5576 for more information or to be involved in the study. Please title your email, 'POF STUDY' if you would like to participate, and include your name, date of birth, mailing address and phone number. A questionnaire and more detailed study information will be mailed to you within seven business days.
